Processability analysis

1) Corrosion resistance: 5052 aluminum has good corrosion resistance and is a typical anti-rust aluminum.

2) Weldability: 5052 aluminum alloy has good friction stir welding performance. Dynamic recrystallization occurs in the weld zone and The crystal of the weld seam is refined, and the weld seam can be bent freely at 0°C~180°C. Optimizing process parameters can make the strength of welded joints equal to or higher than that of the base metal.

3) Surface treatment: 5052 h34 aluminum can be anodized, the oxide film is easy to form, and the quality of the film is also better, which is more suitable for oxidation and coloring. When the magnesium content is high (such as 5083), its brightness is not enough. The magnesium content of 5052 is about half of that of 5083, which can be oxidized well, and the treated surface has high brightness and can be colored well.
